Corpus Christi Catholic School is Requesting bids for a Construction project to replace exterior doors on the Building and to add a panic hardward to the internal doors of our gymnasium.

A grant was awarded from the PCCD to replaced these doors with a budget of total budget of $45,000 for the this aspect of the project.

Stairwell A Door Replacement

  • Required Work: Replace the existing door with a 5070 Pair of Aluminum Storefront Doors with a medium stile, Stucco Embossed Panel in the bottom half of each door, and 1/4" Clear Tempered Glass with a mid-rail in the top half. The doors must have concealed vertical rods, a closer, and key access on the Right-Hand (RH) door. All three new exterior doors must be keyed alike.

  • Optional Quote: Provide a separate quote to replace the entire opening for Stairwell Exit A - Transom that extends to 2nd floor.

Stairwell B Door Replacement

  • Required Work: Replace the existing door with a 5070 Pair of Aluminum Storefront Doors with a medium stile, Stucco Embossed Panel in the bottom half of each door, 1/4" Clear Tempered Glass with a mid-rail in the top half, concealed vertical rods, and a closer. Key access is required on the RH door. This door set requires the installation of sidelights and a transom due to the size of the rough opening.

Stairwell C Door Replacement

  • Required Work: Replace the existing door with a 5070 Pair of Aluminum Storefront Doors with a medium stile, Stucco Embossed Panel in the bottom half of each door, 1/4" Clear Tempered Glass with a mid-rail in the top half, concealed vertical rods, and a closer. Key access is required on the RH door. This door set also requires the installation of a transom due to the size of the rough opening..

Gymnasium Panic Hardware

  • Scope: Furnish and install new panic hardware on five (5) sets of existing interior double doors in the school gymnasium.

  • Hardware Requirements: The new hardware must be appropriate for double-door applications and comply with all life safety codes. Bidders must specify the manufacturer and model numbers of the hardware they intend to use.

  • Code Compliance: All installations must comply with the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code (UCC) and Title 34 Pa. Code § 50.24. The hardware must be installed between 30 and 44 inches above the floor, and the latch must release with no more than a 15-pound force. Bidders must confirm the proposed hardware is listed for both panic and fire conditions if the doors are fire-rated.
